“Baby John Box Office Day 12: Struggles with Just 2 Crores in Second Weekend”

The domestic box office journey for Baby John, starring Varun Dhawan and Keerthy Suresh, seems to be coming to an unfortunate end. Despite its high-budget production, the action thriller has struggled with negative reviews and a steady decline in collections. As of Day 12, the film’s earnings have dropped below the 1 crore mark, signaling a poor performance overall.

Box Office Update

Directed by Kalees, Baby John has nearly crashed at the box office, with very little growth during its second weekend—the most crucial period for any film. On Saturday, it earned just 0.75 crores, and on Day 12, it made only 0.85 crores. This has pushed the film’s total India collections to a disappointing 38.50 crores, far below expectations for a film with a 160 crore budget.

Here’s the breakdown of Baby John’s box office collections so far:

  • Week 1 (9-day extended week): 36.4 crores
  • Weekend 2: 2.01 crores
  • Total: 38.50 crores

Budget vs Box Office

Baby John was made on a reported budget of 160 crores, meaning it has only recovered around 24% of its cost so far. The film was initially expected to earn at least 60 crores by the end of its box office run, but given its current pace, even that target now seems unlikely.

Upcoming Competition

With the Sankranti 2025 season approaching, Baby John faces tough competition from big releases set for January 10, 2025. Sonu Sood and Jacqueline Fernandez’s action thriller Fateh and Ram Charan and Kiara Advani’s political thriller Game Changer are expected to dominate the box office. Additionally, films like Pushpa 2, Sonic The Hedgehog 3, and Mufasa: The Lion King are also releasing soon, putting more pressure on Baby John, which could soon be pulled from theaters.
