Story
A privileged family led by Radhika Sarathkumar that is undergoing enough issues is recommended by Rao Ramesh to offer prayers to their family god. She gave an impressive performance. The screen-to-screen presence of her is impressive and she looked stunning. Her dance moves are amazing.
The great thing about it is that story of Chandramukhi is refined. In the film, when Kangana played the title role and the film’s filmmakers tweaked the original story. The drama that takes place in part two is quite good. Lawrence performed the Vettaiyan role quite well and he’s shown many conviction.
The action sequence at the end of the sequence of the scene between Kangana Lawrence and Kangana Lawrence is extremely well-constructed. The two actors Lawrence and Kangana demonstrated their ferocity in this action sequence. Some of the dramatic scenes worked well. Lakshmi Menon got a surprising role, and she was flawless in it.
Weak Performances
The biggest issue of Chandramukhi 2 is it hardly contains any thrilling moments. It’s not a good idea to skip the jump scares, and the spooky atmosphere that is a basic prerequisite for a horror film is absent from this. Regarding director P. Vasu, He did a good job on Chandramukhi 2. The director embellished the backstory of Chandramukhi through the addition of some tension. He was a fantastic performer such as Kangana with him however, the script and the silly comedy sequences in the first half of the show brought down the effect. It is also a bit surprising to observe how the horror elements are pushed aside.
