Cast

The cast of Das Ka Dhamki are not a big but full of talented actor worked. Also you’ve got new faces, and they all do a great job. Every character feels real, which makes the story even better. With all these talented people in the movie, it’s no wonder Varshal is going to be a big success. The cast delivers solid performances, with standing out in their roles.

Review

Vishwaksen is an excellent actor, who has proven his skills in prior films. In Das Ka Dhamki, Vishwaksen demonstrated that he can perform in a commercial hero character as well. In the role of Krishna Das, the actor is an energetic performer who allows the film to be watched with his wit and humor. He’s effortless in his performance and the ease at the way he performed is delightful to see. He’s displayed a large variety of characters. In some scenes his performance by the actor is excellent.

The first part, although it isn’t a story and moves with a rapid pace and the comedy and entertainment aspect performed pretty well in the majority. The scenes featuring Vishwaksen, Hyper Aadi, and Jabardast Mahesh were well-received. The trio brought a decent number of laughs through their hilarious timing and histrionics.

Nivetha Pethuraj is a attractive part in Das Ka Dhamki, and she was stunning on the screen. The chemistry she shares with the male lead was radiant. The fun aspect is well preserved even in romantic parts, which keeps the audience engaged. Rao Ramesh, Prudhvi, and many others do a great job in their roles.

Weak Performances

The film received many talk about the second part, particularly prior to the release of the film. The producers assured us that this segment was going to be unique in its kind, awestruck the viewers. However, for all the hype built around it, the second episode does not do justice to the first hour.

The plot is straightforward, and is something we’ve seen in different films. To compensate for this, a variety of twists were added to the movie each one following the next. The twists never stop until the final scene and that’s when the film began to fall apart.

The problem is that these turns aren’t convincing and appear forced. The abrupt editing creates confusion for the viewers to a certain degree. It’s evident that the film is lacking in substance, these twists were designed to keep the action going. The sweet coating that is offered with the entertainment doesn’t grab the viewer completely. The drug aspect of cancer isn’t well handled and the sequences that are a part of this are dull. The number of items at the top of the scene seems a little off which stifles the effect. An outstanding actor such as Rohini gets wasted on a character that is not of any meaning.

Behind the Scenes

Leon James did a pretty excellent work with the background music and some of the songs looked great on the screen. Dinesh K Babu’s cinematography looks beautiful, and the film appears stunning every frame. The editing is not up to par. The production values aren’t excellent.

It’s not an easy task to direct and act in an entire film. Vishwaksen was an excellent actor on Das Ka Dhamki, but the film didn’t really impress with his directional abilities. The potential for the film is evident however it wasn’t able to translate definitely onto the screen. The twists don’t just look fake, but can be predicted ahead of time. The second half of the show needed more care. The manner in which Vishwaksen created comedy is great however.

Trailer

Conclusion

In the Conclusion, Das Ka Dhamki entertains in a small way. It has a decent beginning and a mediocre second third. A straightforward story is told with a little entertainment and a few inconsistency-based twists. Vishwaksen is entertaining, but the film isn’t living up to the hype 100. You should give the film a try, however, you must keep your expectations set.
