Story
Mahatma Gandhi (Ravi Teja) is a family-oriented happy man who is involved in a case of money laundering valued at 10,000 crores. He is detained and the psychology student performed by Meenakshi Chowdhury escapes from prison. The moment Gandhi is released and gives everyone a huge shock. What’s that shock? What do you think is Gandhi to begin with? What is his connection to the 10000 crores? To get the answers it is necessary to take a look at the film on a big screen.
Production
The production qualities for the movie are decent. However, the camera work is a bit sloppy. Action blocks are great in the beginning, but they are a bit over the top at the end of second. The music of DSP is excellent and as was the BGM. The style of Ravi Teja is not proper since he appears dull and de-glam in numerous scenes.
Concerning Director Ramesh Varma, he has performed a poor job on the film. He did a good job narrating the film in the beginning, but lost his thoughts in the later. He muddles the film’s events and tries to make a smart play as the film’s caption, but does not succeed. There is no seriousness in his narration in the second portion of the film, in which he alters the character of the hero in one second from being bad to great. It doesn’t have any impact on the viewers.
Review
Overall, Khiladi is a half-baked crime thriller that only works in the first part. A decent comedy, great songs, and interlude twists are essential elements. The film does however take its nosedive in the latter part and doesn’t recover, which makes Khiladi an uninteresting and over-the-top film for the viewer.
