Advait Chandan’s film Loveyapa, starring Junaid Khan and Khushi Kapoor, hit theatres this Friday. According to Sacnilk, the Hindi remake of Pradeep Ranganathan’s Tamil film Love Today has earned around ₹4.25 crore net in India so far.
Box Office Performance
Loveyapa had a slow start, collecting ₹1.15 crore on its opening day (Friday). On Saturday, the film saw a growth of 43.48%, earning ₹1.65 crore. Early estimates suggest it made ₹1.45 crore on Sunday, bringing its total first-weekend collection to ₹4.25 crore net in India. The film’s worldwide collection stands at ₹3.30 crore. Sunday’s theatre occupancy rates were 6.26% in the morning, 16.63% in the afternoon, and 23.55% in the evening. It remains to be seen if the film will pick up momentum in the coming days.
Suresh Raina Meets Aamir Khan
Cricketer Suresh Raina recently met actor Aamir Khan and watched Loveyapa, featuring Aamir’s son Junaid. Raina shared photos on Instagram with the caption, “Always a pleasure meeting the one and only Aamir Bhai! His warmth and humility are truly inspiring. Wishing Junaid all the best for his new movie Loveyapa—he’s going to shine! God bless.” Cricketer Manvinder Bisla and actor-RJ Kisnaa also met Aamir Khan.

Aamir Khan hosted a special screening of Loveyapa for Bollywood celebrities. The event was attended by Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol, Juhi Chawla, Imran Khan (Aamir’s nephew), rapper Honey Singh, Ayushmann Khurrana, and his wife Tahira Kashyap, among others.
Loveyapa is a romantic comedy about a couple who swap phones for a day, leading to unexpected chaos and hilarious situations. This film marks the theatrical debut of both Junaid Khan and Khushi Kapoor, who previously appeared in Netflix films Maharaja and The Archies, respectively.
