Personal Life

Born on May 9, 1992, in Kotagiri, Sai Pallavi grew up in Coimbatore. She is a trained dancer and participated in the dance reality show Ungalil Yaar Adutha Prabhu Deva on Vijay TV in 2008. She also appeared on Dhee Ultimate Dance Show on ETV Telugu.

Career

In 2014, Sai Pallavi got her big break when she was offered the role of Malar in Alphonse Puthren’s film Premam, which marked her impressive debut in the film industry. After this, she resumed her studies. Later, in 2015, she took a short break from academics to act in her second film, Kali, which hit the screens in March 2016. Her performance in the Telugu film Fidaa earned her the Filmfare Award for Best Actress (Telugu).

In 2019, she played the role of an autistic girl alongside Fahadh Faasil in the movie Athiran. Sai Pallavi has also acted in several notable Tamil films, including Maari 2, NGK, Diya, and the Netflix anthology Paava Kadhaigal directed by Vetrimaaran. In Maari 2, she starred with Dhanush, and their song Rowdy Baby became a massive hit, crossing 1.5 billion views on YouTube, making it the most-watched Indian song on the platform.
